The Allway LED bluetooth speaker is a nice little tabletop speaker for providing background music when entertaining friends. For a small speaker it provides some decent quality audio. I was surprised with the bass response it provides through the passive radiator on the bottom of the unit. At this price point and size I certainly wasn’t looking to be blown away by this speaker, and I wasn’t, but I was equally surprised at just how good it does sound.The unit’s battery is charged with the supplied USB-C cable, although a charging cube isn’t included. The output of the speaker isn’t powerful, so don’t expect to run a party with it, but it gets surprisingly loud for a speaker of its size, and without any noticeable distortion. Bluetooth pairing was simple and you can also play music from other devices using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).As for the sound quality, it’s a slight step above a decent computer speaker. The sound is fairly well rounded and not at all “tinny” as it is reinforced by a passive radiator on the bottom of the speaker. The volume you get is a little surprising, and it does so without noticeable distortion. In fact, the louder you play it, the better it is at reproducing the lows in the music. I expected it to sound thinner and less full than what it actually produces.The speaker incorporates an LED light show and a number of patterns can be selected from. Although the lights pulse, they do not appear to pulse to the beat of the music. I’m not a fan of speaker light shows so I didn’t spend a lot of time studying this feature.Overall this is a nice speaker to have on your deck, porch or living room when you just want some decent sounding background music. This is definitely not the star of the show so don’t expect it to wow you with sonic bliss. But for the price/size, it really performs nicely and has a nice design that would fit into any decor as a tabletop speaker. It does a good job for what it is, and what it was designed for. If you want a nice looking, decent sounding tabletop speaker for providing background music, this is a very nice item and I can certainly recommend it.
